Normal Route

"GOD DAMN IT KRIS WHERE THE HELL ARE WE" - Susie

The Normal Route is one of the two main routes of Deltatraveler, consisting of any decision the Player makes that doesn't trigger the Obliteration Route (or in case it is triggered, any decision that aborts said route).

Route variations

Since the Normal Route, not requiring specific steps to be triggered and maintained (like the Obliteration Route does instead), has the most broad range of decisions and possible outcomes, only 3 main examples will be described to cover most of how a Normal Route can play out.

Pacifist Route

As the name implies, it requires for the Player to not kill ANY enemy and not collecting any EXP, only relying on MERCY and non-lethal violence for encounters (like for the final bosses).

The main difference compared to other variations of the Normal Route, besides the Delta Warriors being stuck at LV 1 and at base stats, is that it will be possible to collect the Eggs in each sections, and potentially their respective rewards as well, to give the player extra support in future sections.

Neutral Route

Any decision that includes violence to kill enemies but not enough to trigger an Obliteration Route can be considered a Neutral Route. In Section 2, when reaching the Coil Snake and beyond, all enemies defeated with violence will instead flee, rewarding very little EXP, thus discourage the continued use of violence, since mercy will usually be a faster approach overall.

Aborted Obliteration Route

In case the Obliteration Route was triggered, any decision that will abort it will revert the route to the Normal version instead, with no way to trigger it again beside loading a Save File to a moment previous to the Route being aborted; depending on how far the Player went on the Obliteration Route, beside LV and stats increases, several lasting consequences can occur.
