Carrot

The Carrot is a consumable item in Section 3 - Hell's Forest, found in a pile of snow (previously a snowman, with the carrot being its nose), north of where Sans's first "shop" is located.

The Carrot will heal 8 HP to Kris and Susie upon being used. When used on Noelle instead, it will recover all her missing health, as well as adding 5 overheal HP.

Quotes

When examining the pile of snow after taking its carrot, it will reveal the following text regarding an hint note:

• (You noticed a note inside the snow that wasn't there before.)
• "Within the glowing room, a locked door stands tall. It invites a fearsome battle."

Additionally, there's a small chance for the following text to appear as well, it being an hint on how to find the hidden room containing Gaster's secret encounter; this can only happen the first time interacting with the pile of snow, otherwise requiring to reload the SAVE file for another attempt:

• (...But something was scrawled below the cryptic message...)
• "A ROOM BETWEEN"

Trivia

• The first note that appears in the snow pile is likely hinting towards Jerry's battle.
• The Carrot's powerful healing effect on Noelle is likely a reference to the implication that she has a preference regarding vegetables (likely given the fact she resembles reindeers, which are herbivores); this is further supported by Deltarune's Giga Salad, an unused consumable healing item that recovers only 4 HP to Kris, Susie and Ralsei, but 90 HP to Noelle.
• The Carrot is the second item that allows a character to heal beyond their health limit, with the first being the Snail Pie when it is fed to Susie.
