Android version
The Android version of Deltatraveler is a discontinued port of the game onto mobile devices.
Due to complications with trying to make the game work on mobile devices despite the game not being made for phones, the developers eventually decided to discontinue the Android version.
The Android version is mostly identical to the main versions of Deltatraveler, but with a few changes to accommodate for being on a mobile device.
The Android version of Deltatraveler can be found here.
History
The Android version was first released near the game's release for version 1.0.1. The Android version was then updated along with the other versions from this point onwards.
After version 2.0.2 released, a specific hotfix was made to fix Android-exclusive issues.
The 2.0.7 update added some quality of life changes for the Android version's controls.
When Section 3 - Hell's Forest was released, the secret extra minigame Mario Bros was also added, however it was not accessible on Android until version 3.0.6 since the secret code to unlock it did not work on the Android version until then.
Discontinuation timeline
On March 13th 2024, a progress update was released on GameJolt to provide some details on future content, mainly related to the upcoming v3.1.0. One of the details was "improved touch controls", specifying that the Android version was often criticized for having poor controls. It was mentioned that the team would aim to try and improve the Android version's controls by using more Unity-integrated control components as well as a menu that allows users to change mobile-specific settings, including changing the button layout.
On November 12th 2024, another status update was posted for the game's 3rd anniversary. One of the points in this status update was that the team's mood had shifted on the Android version, since they were wondering if they should continue working on it. The main reasons for this was that VyletBunni, the game's lead developer, was not very enthusiastic over the Android version, and that Deltatraveler was also not made for mobile devices as it is essentially a PC game ported onto phones, which makes certain mechanics cumbersome to use, as well as making future sections (namely Section 7) very difficult to adapt to. It was said that if nobody on the development team would be willing to handle working on the Android version, then the planned improvements to the touch controls would be scrapped, or the version would be discontinued entirely.
On January 3rd 2025, the official Deltatraveler Bluesky account made a post asking people to reply with what version they played on the most, possibly to find out if the team should continue working on the Android version.[1]
On August 26th 2025, version 3.0.11 was released for Deltatraveler, adding some minor changes. However, it did not release on Android, which was still only on version 3.0.10. Around the same time, VyletBunni made a post on Bluesky saying that it was a "good time to sunset" the Android version, since the v3.0.11 update, while functional on Android, required several barriers to install it on newer phones, which was too difficult to work around.[2] Because of this, along with the fact that the version would be discontinued in version 3.1.0 anyway,[3] the team decided that this update would be the end of the Android version. Later that day, the "Other Downloads" page on the Deltatraveler website was updated to include the Android version.
Despite this, the Android version did receive an extra update on November 18th 2025, along with all of the other classic versions. This was because a specific content creator in the Undertale and Deltarune community was revealed to have several allegations behind them, and therefore all references to them in Deltatraveler was removed.[4] To ensure that all versions would not have references of this content creator, the Android version received this update as well. While not stated or confirmed, it can be assumed that this will likely be the Android version's final update.
Differences from other versions
Limitations
Due to the lack of an ESC button, the only way to return to the title screen is to close the game and reopen it, or beat the entire game and wait for the credits to end.
The secret boss Jerry has a unique mechanic where he can be enraged by abusing a specific mechanic with the yellow SOUL mode. However, this cannot be triggered in the Android version, since this mechanic requires two [CONFIRM] buttons. On a PC, this can easily be achieved by holding [Z] and mashing [ENTER] (or vice versa), but on mobile, since there is only one [Z] button, this effect is impossible to achieve.
It may be possible to circumvent these limitations by linking a controller or keyboard to your phone.
Exclusive additions
Due to the lack of a keyboard, the Android version features touchscreen controls. Movement is controlled with a touchpad on the left side of the screen, while the [Z], [X] and [C] buttons are displayed on the right in that order. The touchpad and buttons are slightly transparent to help with visibility.
The Android version has an additional option in the settings that allows the player to customize the design of the touchpad and buttons, as well as increase or decrease the touchpad's sensitivity.
The "Touch Color Scheme" option allows the player to change the color of the touchpad and buttons.
- The "PLAIN" option results in all buttons being grey.
- The "COLORS" option turns the touchpad cyan, while [Z], [X] and [C] are green, red and yellow respectively.
- The "SOUL" option turns the touchpad orange, while [Z], [X] and [C] are purple, red (slightly darker than "COLORS") and yellow respectively, likely a reference to the different SOUL colors in Undertale.
- The "NEON" option turns the touchpad red, while [Z], [X] and [C] are cyan, pink and yellow respectively. [Z], [X] and [C]'s colors reference Kris, Susie and Noelle's signature colors. The touchpad being red may also be referencing Paula's signature color, or possibly referencing the SOUL's usual red color.
- The "HIDDEN" option results in the touchpad and buttons being completely hidden, but still functional.
The "Touchpad Skin" option allows the player to change the design of the touchpad. Most of the skins reference different controller D-pads, including the PlayStation, NES, SNES, Wii, Xbox 360, and more. There are also some custom touchpad skins, including:
- "PLUS", which appears as a generic plus sign.
- "SOULTUT", which appears as 4 arrows, similar to the arrows that appear when learning how to move the SOUL at the start of Undertale.
- "PBONE" which appears as 2 bones in a + formation. They reference Papyrus's bone attacks.
- "SBONE" which appears as 2 bones in a + formation. They reference Sans's bone attacks.
- "SPEAR" which appears as 4 short spears creating a + formation. They reference Undyne's spears.
- "LEG" which appears as Mettaton's body in the middle with 4 legs sticking out each end, creating a + shape.
Additionally, every single option other than SOULTUT, PBONE, SBONE, SPEAR, and LEG have a "negative" option, which inverts the colored parts of the touchpad and makes it transparent.
The "Buttons Skin" option allows the player to change the design of the [Z], [X] and [C] buttons.
- The "LETTER" option appears as generic round buttons with the respective letters in bold.
- The "BLANK" option appears as generic round buttons without any letters.
- The "SOUL" option appears as three heart-shaped buttons without any letters.
- The "BOX" option appears as three squares without any letters.
- The "SEXBOX" option appears as three Mettaton bodies, without legs or a wheel underneath.
- The "TEST" option appears as rounded squares with the respective letters in thin text.
Additionally, every single option other than SEXBOX has a "negative" option, which inverts the colored parts of the touchpad and makes it transparent.
When starting the game for the first time, the default options are "PLAIN", "PS" and "LETTER".
When the player is using the touchpad, a SOUL appears on the touchpad to show exactly where the player's input is detected. If the current SOUL mode changes while in gameplay, the touchpad SOUL will also change color to reflect this.

Trivia
- When the Android version is first started so that the initial warning of the Obliteration Route is given, only the [Z] button is shown.
- A mobile version of Deltatraveler for iOS would never be released, since it would require players to jailbreak their device.[5]
